Its been a great beginning for us at LibraryNext.com and we thank all our users who have helped the website grow. Its been a slow but steady growth and based on user feedbacks we have incorporated a lot of new features into the new version that we have launched.
All have been inquiring as to who is behind the librarynext.com website. Hence we decided to add the about section in the new version.
The site is promoted by?
- Prakash Balge & Preethi Balge.
- Qualifications: Prakash holds a MBA in IT&Systems degree while Preethi is a BSc in Computer Science.
Any previous track record or experience?
- Yes, Prakash has over 10 years experience. The first venture started and still running successfully is Epaperz.com.
- Epaperz is a firm involved in digitization of books, manuscripts and records in to digital format. The firm has been involved in digitization projects of many leading libraries.
- Another venture has been HostADomainNow.com - a hosting & domain registration re-selling business that has been set up a couple of years back.
- Some months back we have also soft-launched - ClassifiedsNext.com - a free classifieds listing website.
- LibraryNext.com is the latest venture.
- Soon, we are also launching a couple of other industry specific websites on the lines of librarynext.
Why LibraryNext.com?
- The thought for starting a website catering the library related users has been going on for quite a while. For the past 10 years, have been interacting with libraries & library users and they felt that there must be a platform which could help them to interact with other users in the community. They wanted a platform, where in they could interact with other librarians, suppliers, users and understand the latest happenings in other libraries and share their personal experiences. They wanted a one stop solution where in they could post their problems or even some tips which would be useful to others. They wanted a platform where in they could upload latest events at their library & pictures of libraries & events. They also wanted a blog where in they could add their blogs for other users to view. Thus, LibraryNext.com was born.
- In the coming months, not only are we planning to fine tune the website but also add new features where in users can create their own groups. This would help users within a particular group to interact privately.
- Further, we have also a web-based library automation solution underway and could also be integrated into this website. This would help libraries across the world to upload their catalog for others to view and search. It would be a complete library automation solution which would take care of all aspects of library functions like - Acquisition, Catalog, Serial, Member, Search, Budgeting, Stock Taking & so on...
